Registered Nurse - Hematology/Oncology Infusion

Location: Batavia, NY

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. No weekends, no holidays, and no on-call responsibilities.

Job Description: Join a community-based oncology practice that is part of a nationally recognized, NCI-designated cancer center. This small practice includes a MD, APP, LPN, Ambulatory Tech, and 3 RNs. The infusion assignment involves a mix of hematology, oncology, monoclonal therapies, and non-oncology referral infusions. A typical infusion assignment accommodates 8 patients, with a maximum daily capacity of 24 patients, while also providing chemotherapy teaching at the chairside.

Responsibilities:

• Administer infusions and perform patient education at chairside.
• Manage a full patient assignment with minimal supervision.
• Develop strong communication with patients, families, and the oncology care team.
• Utilize Epic EMR and Alaris infusion pumps effectively.
• Demonstrate strong IV, vascular access, and port access skills.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• 2-3 years of recent infusion experience required, outpatient clinic experience highly desired.
• ONS chemotherapy/immunotherapy certification.
• Current BLS certification from American Heart Association.
• Experience with Epic EMR and Alaris infusion pumps.
• Strong IV/vascular access and port access skills.
• Current, unencumbered NYS RN licensure.
