Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Staff Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: 5+ years of direct RN experience License: Current RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: Cardiac telemetry experience Description: The Registered Nurse (RN) protects, promotes, and optimizes health and abilities. Prevents illness and injury, and alleviates suffering through diagnosis and treatment. Advocates for the care of individuals and families. The RN is accountable for compliance with all standards of practice and professional development. This includes adhering to the Nurse Practice Act, policies, and the Code of Ethics for Nurses. The RN promotes a caring and healing environment for patient-centered care. Job responsibilities include assessing, planning, delegating, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating nursing care. The RN manages a group of patients, serving as a primary or accountable nurse as per unit assignments. Educates patients and families in health promotion and disease management. Utilizes knowledge of pharmacology and safely administers medications. Collaborates in productivity and effective resource utilization, including staffing and time management. Ensures compliance with nursing practice standards and regulatory requirements. Participates in Nursing Shared Governance and improvement initiatives. Engages in professional development and completes all mandatory education requirements. Integrates nursing research and current evidence into practice. Provides a supportive learning environment for new employees and students. Performs other duties as assigned.
