MA Medical Assistant

Medical Assistant Position

Star Nursing has an urgent need for medical assistants. Facility: Clinic/Medical Office. Start date: ASAP! Length: Full-time assignment for 3 months with potential to extend. Schedule: 32–40 hours per week. Shift: Mon-Fri; start time will vary from 6a-9a (8hr shift).

MA Pay rate: Local: $28/hr.

Responsibilities:

• Provide back-office patient care support in the Dermatology Department
• Assist with patient intake, rooming, vital signs, and preparing patients for procedures
• Support providers during dermatology visits and treatments
• Perform specimen collection and properly handle samples
• Help maintain smooth clinic flow in an ambulatory/outpatient setting
• Document patient information accurately and follow clinic protocols
• Work closely with providers and clinic staff to ensure quality patient care
• MA Certification required
• Ambulatory and specimen collection experience preferred

Qualifications:

• Active CA MA license
• Medical Assistant Certificate from one of the following: AAMA, NCCT, NHA (CCMA), AMT (RMA)
• IV Certification
• Current - BLS/CPR
• Skills checklist
• Copy or driver’s license and SS card
• Must be able to pass background/ urine drug screen
