This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with young children and wants to grow their experience in a supportive preschool and childcare environment. You'll work alongside Lead Teachers to create engaging classrooms where children feel safe, supported, and excited to learn. What You'll Do Support Lead Teachers with daily classroom routines and learning activities Engage children through play, art, music, sensory experiences, and hands-on learning Assist with meals, diapering/toileting, rest time, outdoor play, and transitions Provide attentive supervision and positive guidance Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom Encourage children's independence and social-emotional development Build positive relationships with children, families, and fellow teachers Follow Michigan childcare licensing, health, and safety requirements Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required Previous daycare, preschool, childcare, or early childhood experience preferred CDA or Early Childhood Education coursework is a plus Dependable, patient, nurturing, and team-oriented Must meet Michigan childcare licensing requirements What We Offer $16–$18 per hour Full-time Monday–Friday schedule Paid training and professional development Employee childcare discount Supportive leadership and collaborative team environment Opportunities to advance into Lead Teacher positions #J-18808-Ljbffr The Learning Experience - Grand Rapids - Beltline
