Adjunct, Criminal Justice

Overview The instructional faculty member will primarily teach Criminal Justice / Criminology courses at the Harrogate, Tennessee campus or online. Qualifications Required Qualification: Master’s degree in Criminal Justice / Criminology and teaching experience. Preferred Qualification: Terminal degree in Criminal Justice / Criminology; evidence of effective teaching and the ability to teach statistics for criminology/criminal justice. Responsibilities Promote the mission of Lincoln Memorial University to all faculty, staff, students, and the community at large. Promote effective working relationships among faculty, staff, and students. Comply with the University Faculty/Staff Policy Manual and announced requirements. Align course syllabi, goals, and objectives with program goals and student outcomes for each course taught. Develop a current syllabus for each assigned class and distribute it to each student. Submit a current copy of each syllabus to the department chair by the predetermined deadline. Evaluate enrolled students and submit grades to the Registrar by the predetermined deadline. Assure completion of the student course evaluation instrument for the semester as requested. Participate in the faculty evaluation process and use the results to improve teaching and strengthen the major. Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of the current position.
