Clinical Research Coordinator I (Hybrid) - Neurology

Overview Position: Clinical Research Coordinator I. Join our dynamic, mission-driven team to assist investigators in coordinating clinical research studies—from basic to complex—with a primary focus on Epilepsy and rare pediatric diseases. You will work with multiple Principal Investigators (PIs) and liaise with the Medical School, sponsoring agencies, the community, and study participants. This role manages and records all phases of study progress as required by sponsoring and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance. Responsibilities Implements and manages all phases of study/protocol; ensures compliance with protocol guidelines and regulatory agency requirements; establishes record-keeping systems; assesses participants’ progress; analyzes, investigates and reports adverse events; determines when to notify physicians of issues, when to stop participant inclusion, and/or when to adjust the protocol for particular participants; resolves protocol management issues and recommends corrective action; serves as liaison with funding or sponsoring agency. Recruits and enrolls study participants; determines eligibility based on diagnostic criteria and/or interviews; develops informed consent packets and explains study purpose to obtain completed informed consent; explains diagnostic procedures and treatment plans; administers/scores tests and evaluates lab and clinical assessments to ensure timely completion. Ensures timely completion of all protocol requirements (assessments, lab testing, procedures, treatments); schedules and facilitates timely completion; evaluates and interprets collected clinical data; prepares oral or written presentations or reports and analyses with progress trends and recommendations. Collects clinical data under clinical research protocols. Performs other duties as assigned. Education and Qualifications Education : Bachelor’s degree or combination of education and/or experience may substitute for minimum education. Certifications / Professional Licenses : Basic Life Support – American Heart Association; Basic Life Support – American Red Cross. More than one credential may be required depending on the role. Individual rates within the range will be determined by qualifications, performance, equity, market rates, and department budget.
