Sales Engineer

Growing Groves is partnering with an automotive bearing manufacturing OEM to find an Entry Level Automotive Components Sales Engineer for their team. This is a role for a individual who wants to start developing their career in the automotive industry. The region/territory is based on automotive company density - Ohio, Michigan, Indiana and as-needed. This blended sales and engineering role opens up a diverse career path of opportunities and people management. A Bachelor's in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related is required. Company and Position Summary Our client is creating an opportunity for an individual to learn and develop sales methods and strategies for bearings into the automotive market. You'll be joining a mid-size team of an established OEM with global presence. Reports to: Sales and Engineering Manager Key Responsibilities Expand sales with existing customers and develop new business by matching automotive technology with customer applications. Attend weekly face-to-face program meetings. Coordinate with manufacturing plants and other regions to support activities, including prototype and production parts delivery. Analyze customer growth needs and gather forecast information to support business planning Conduct commercial negotiations, submit quotes, and track programs accurately without delays. Maintain monthly sales projections and note competitor product strategies. Position Requirements A degree or diploma in engineering or related field. Collegiate experience or projects relating to the automotive field Personality and aptitude for consistent customer contact while leveraging the technical aspects of their degree Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills with a commitment to customer service and teamwork. Proficiency in MS Office software, especially MS PowerPoint and Excel. Ability to travel up to 30%, including visits to customer purchasing/engineering contacts and occasional overseas audits. Employee Compensation and Benefits This position offers a salary up to $80,000 based on experience.
