Your future role at a glance Location: Elk Grove Village, IL Facility: Ascension Alexian Brothers Schedule: Night shift | Full-time Salary range: $48.36 - $68.26 per hour How you'll make an impact in this role Requires a minimum of 3-5 years of critical experience to coordinate unit staffing and provide leadership for assigned specialty areas such as Cardiovascular/Cath Lab, Surgical Services, Emergency/Triage, Endoscopy, Adult/Pediatric/NeoNatal Critical Care, or Labor & Delivery/Women & Family. Assigns, directs, educates, and monitors nursing and support associates during assigned shifts while exercising independent judgment to plan shifts, services, and patient care. Assesses daily patient care needs to develop and distribute patient care assignments, ensuring population-appropriate care, maintaining productivity standards, and justifying variances to unit managers. Responds to patient care complaints through established channels and sets operational priorities appropriate to daily patient and physician dynamics. Facilitates the availability of adequate materials, resources, and supplies while providing input into the hiring, training, directing, development, and evaluation of staff. What minimum qualifications you'll need Licensure / Certification / Registration: BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Registered Nurse credentialed from the Illinois Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Education: Required professional licensure/certification AND 1 year of cumulative job specific experience required.
