Physical Therapist Role Overview Physical Therapist Role Overview Responsibilities Provide personalized, one-on-one physical therapy to older adults in private residences and senior living communities. Conduct evaluations, develop care plans, and implement evidence-based treatments to enhance mobility, independence, and quality of life. Document patient progress accurately in electronic medical records, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and educate patients, caregivers, and staff on safety and aging in place. Incorporate telehealth and virtual care to increase flexibility and reach more patients. Qualifications & Skills Valid PT license or eligibility, degree from an accredited program, proficiency with EMR systems, and current CPR certification. Ability to meet physical demands including lifting, repositioning, and providing assistance during patient transfers. A commitment to patient-centered care and adaptability to diverse settings.
