Locum Psychiatry

Job Overview Provide psychiatric evaluations, assessments, diagnoses, and medication management. Treat patients with developmental disabilities and co-occurring mental health conditions. Work with patients across age groups, including children and adults. Collaborate with the medical director, nurses, clinicians, and case managers. Maintain accurate clinical documentation and individualized treatment plans. Common conditions include anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, OCD, intermittent explosive disorder, and schizoaffective disorder. Schedule Flexibility 12 16 hours per week, with a maximum of 16 hours currently. Flexible scheduling options, such as 3 4 hours per day across multiple days or longer shifts. Monday Friday, between 8:30 AM and 5:00 PM. A consistent weekly schedule can be arranged in coordination with the clinic. Candidate Requirements Active California medical license. Board Certified or Board Eligible in Adult and/or Child Psychiatry (preferred). Must be comfortable treating both children and adults; adult-only providers will not be considered. Must be authorized to prescribe controlled substances. Eligible for Medicare and Medi-Cal certification. Must be willing to work onsite in the San Jose area. Must reside within approximately 30 miles of ZIP code 95128. Fly-in candidates will not be considered. COVID-19 and flu vaccinations required, with applicable medical or religious exemptions considered. Additional Information Long-term opportunity due to the departure of a current provider.
