Occupational Therapist (OT) – School-Based | Up to $55/hr | Tacoma, WA

Up to $55/hr | Monday–Friday | K–12 School Setting

Looking for an Occupational Therapist job in Tacoma, WA with a consistent weekday schedule? Join a local school program where you’ll help K–12 students build the skills they need to participate more fully in the classroom and throughout the school day.

We’re hiring a school-based Occupational Therapist to provide evaluations, direct therapy, and IEP-based services. You may support students at one or more campuses within the district, depending on caseload needs.

What You’ll Do

• Provide occupational therapy services based on each student’s Individualized Education Program (IEP)
• Evaluate students’ functional abilities, developmental needs, and progress
• Develop individualized therapy goals and intervention plans
• Help students improve fine motor, gross motor, sensory-processing, visual-motor, and self-care skills
• Provide direct therapy in individual or small-group settings
• Recommend strategies, accommodations, and adaptive equipment that support student success
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of student goals
• Collaborate with parents, teachers, administrators, and other service providers
• Maintain accurate treatment notes, progress reports, and required documentation
• Travel between school campuses when required by the district

What We’re Looking For

• Master’s degree from an accredited occupational therapy program
• Current Washington State Occupational Therapist license
• NBCOT certification
• Ability to complete required school and district clearances
• Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with a multidisciplinary school team
• Previous pediatric or school-based OT experience is preferred but not required
