Restaurant Shift Leader

Shift LeadMOLLY TEA is looking for a dependable and energetic Shift Lead to support daily store operations at our Glendale location. This role helps lead the team during assigned shifts, maintains service and product standards, and ensures a smooth and positive customer experience.Key ResponsibilitiesLead assigned shifts and help keep daily store operations running smoothly.Support the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager with team coordination and shift execution.Assign daily tasks and provide guidance to team members during the shift.Help train and coach new and existing team members on drink preparation, customer service, food safety, and store procedures.Maintain high standards of beverage quality, cleanliness, speed of service, and hospitality.Prepare beverages, operate the register, restock supplies, clean work areas, and assist wherever needed during busy periods.Monitor customer flow and help maintain efficient service during peak hours.Handle routine customer concerns professionally and escalate more serious issues to management when needed.Assist with opening and closing procedures, including cash handling and basic end-of-shift tasks.Monitor inventory and supplies during the shift and communicate shortages or operational issues to management.Ensure team members follow company policies, sanitation standards, food safety requirements, and workplace safety procedures.Communicate shift updates, staffing issues, and operational concerns to store management.QualificationsPrevious experience in a restaurant, caf, beverage, retail, or customer-service environment preferred.Previous shift lead, trainer, or team leadership experience is preferred but not required.Strong communication and customer service skills.Reliable, responsible, and comfortable helping direct a team during busy shifts.Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, holidays, opening, and closing shifts.Ability to stand for extended periods and perform the physical duties required in a food and beverage store.Position DetailsPosition: Shift Lead / Shift SupervisorLocation: Glendale, CaliforniaEmployment Type: Full-time or Part-timePay: $23.50 per hourClassification: Non-exempt / Overtime eligible
