Legal Counsel

Job Description

Our client, an E-commerce company in New York City is seeking an experienced Litigation Attorney with 3-6 years of Big-Law experience. This role will manage a broad range of disputes and pre-litigation matters, advise internal stakeholders on legal risk, and help develop strategies to protect the company's business, brand, and customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities

\n

\n
• Manage all phases of litigation, arbitration, mediation, and pre-litigation disputes involving the company.
\n
• Oversee outside counsel, including case strategy, budgets, staffing, and performance.
\n
• Advise business teams on litigation risk, dispute prevention, and legal exposure arising from company operations and strategic initiatives.
\n
• Partner with internal teams including compliance, customer experience, finance, operations, HR, marketing, and product.
\n
• Draft, review, and respond to demand letters, subpoenas, complaints, discovery requests, settlement agreements, and other legal documents.
\n
• Develop case strategies and recommendations aligned with the company's business objectives.
\n
• Support internal investigations and preservation, collection, and review of relevant documents and records.
\n

Qualifications

\n

\n
• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
\n
• Active membership in New York State Bar.
\n
• 3-6 years of litigation experience at big law firm.
\n
• Strong experience managing complex commercial litigation and dispute resolution.
\n
