Travel RN - ICUAmerican TravelerShakopee, Minnesota, United StatesPosition ID: P-774396Position status: OpenAssignment type: travelShift: NightsLength (weeks): 13Openings: 1Start date: 2026-11-16$2,419.00/week (estimated advertised weekly pay)DescriptionAmerican Traveler is hiring an ICU RN for a Level III trauma hospital requiring at least 1 year of critical care experience and ACLS/BLS certification.DetailsWork in the ICU of an acute care hospital, serving as an SCU/ED float RNUnit has 8 rooms and 10 beds with an average daily census of 5Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours (1900-0730)Required to work up to every other weekendMay be placed on-call as needed for the departmentFloat to other units as needed, specifically the EDUses Epic (Excellian) EMR systemRequirementsActive MN RN license required (pending license accepted)Current ACLS and BLS certifications required; CCRN preferredMinimum 1 year of critical care/ICU experience requiredExperience with cardiac monitoring including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias and obtaining 12-lead EKGsExperience with multi-system organ failure managementExperience with thermoregulation (hypothermia/hyperthermia) and IV insulin protocolsGI surgery and chronic/acute renal failure experience requiredIV therapy skills including accessing ports, arterial line management, blood product administration, central line and PICC line care, and starting IVsMedication management skills including continuous IV paralytics/sedation, emergency medications, procedural sedation, and titration of cardiac and vasoactive dripsNeurological case experience including CVA/stroke management, EVDs, ICP monitoring, lumbar drains, post-neurosurgery care, spinal cord injury, and traumatic brain injuryRespiratory/thoracic skills including BiPAP/CPAP management, ventilator management, chest tube assistance, HFNC, ABG interpretation, and suctioningExperience with infection precautions, isolation precautions/PPE, phlebotomy, and surgical wound/wound vac careCVVHD/CRRT experience preferredPulmonary artery line/Swan Ganz monitoring, sheath removal, valve repair/replacement, and VAD experience preferredEpic/Excellian charting experience preferredAdditional InformationProvide critical care nursing in a Level III trauma acute care hospital with 63 staffed bedsNavy scrub color requiredCandidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be considered (locals not accepted)Candidates may float within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate hospital as neededRTO requests should ideally not exceed 5 daysReturning staff must have been gone at least 3 months since their last shift worked as perm staff or per diemFirst-time travelers are welcome to applyHours per week: 36Hours per shift: 12
