Quick Facts Location: Estill, SC Start Date: 12/15/2025 End Date: 09/30/2026 Shift: 2 days/week on-site; other days in Williamsburg, SC Hours/week: Approximately 10-16 hours Employment Type: Part-Time (1099) Experience: Prior corrective or correctional optometry experience preferred Licensing: Valid optometry license; credential requirements to be confirmed upon application Pay Rate: $105/hour all-inclusive Benefits: Weekly pay via direct deposit, malpractice insurance with tail coverage, referral bonuses, licensure and travel reimbursement (when applicable), access to discounts on travel and retail via PerkSpot What You’ll Do Conduct comprehensive eye exams for correctional facility inmates and staff Prescribe lenses, medications, and treatments as needed Document clinical findings and maintain detailed patient records Collaborate with facility staff and healthcare team to ensure quality care Manage emergency eye care situations efficiently Maintain compliance with correctional health protocols and licensing standards What You Need Required: Active optometry license in South Carolina Experience in optometry, preferably with correctional or facility-based settings Strong communication and documentation skills Preferred: Prior correctional health experience Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team About the Assignment This opportunity is with a dedicated correctional healthcare provider, offering flexible part-time hours tailored to your availability.
