Senior Technician Position Summary The Senior Technician leverages technical expertise to diagnose drivability and electrical systems and mentors a team toward higher customer care and satisfaction. The role utilizes a performance‑based flat‑rate pay model, ensuring efficient and swift completion of eligible tasks. Pay Range: $19.57 → $33.56 per hour. Flat‑rate compensation is based on regionally averaged productivity. Responsibilities Diagnose and repair to specifications: brake and hydraulic, exhaust, primary/advanced fuel ignition and electrical, suspension and alignment, air conditioning and computer systems. Explain technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals. Maintain current knowledge of rapidly changing automotive technology through continuous paid formal training. Assist and train technicians/mechanics in performing technical activities. Obtain or maintain A.S.E. certifications in at least three of A1–A8 within the first two years of employment. Test and registration fees are paid by the company. Minimum Qualifications Valid automobile driver’s license at all times; able to drive customer and company vehicles. Demonstrated skill in brakes and hydraulics and/or steering and suspension alignments. Proficiency in general automotive maintenance and tire repair. Current federal, state and local certification/license where applicable. Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical people; solid reading, writing and math skills. Preferred Qualifications 3 years of automotive repair experience; demonstrated skills via third‑party assessments or certifications. Completion of a Vocational‑Technical School Program.
