Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid state certification in Special Education (or eligibility for certification)
- Previous experience working with students with diverse learning needs
- Strong knowledge of current best practices in individualized instruction and IEP development
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and positive classroom environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s strengths and needs
- Adapt instructional materials and strategies to accommodate various learning styles
- Track and document student progress, providing regular updates to parents, staff, and administration
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to ensure comprehensive support for each student
- Maintain accurate records and adhere to compliance requirements
- Create a safe, respectful, and engaging classroom culture that values diversity
