Endeavor Schools has an exciting opportunity for a Vice President of Operations ! The ideal candidate will be based on the East Coast, preferably in Miami/South Florida, and must have the ability to travel between 40% to 50% percent of the time. The Vice President of Operations drives the success and long-term sustainability of our schools through effective leadership, employee engagement, and teamwork. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, this role will take personal and professional responsibility in serving the children and families, to our school-based teammates, to the Executive Leadership Team, and to Regional and central Support Team members.

Essential Tasks

1. Promoting and enhancing a healthy, safe, and welcoming environment (Learning Environment/Security)
   • Ensuring that each school complies with all federal, state, and local regulations and licensing requirements
   • Responsible for the safety and well-being of all students and staff
2. Supporting Endeavor's 3 Pillars of Academic Excellence (Relational Pedagogy, Developmentally Appropriate Practice, and Inspiring Learning Environments)
   • Ensuring that all schools deliver quality academic programs
   • Developing and managing the framework used to validate that professional development opportunities are provided to deepen the skill sets and knowledge of school-based team members in these three areas of teacher knowledge
3. Leading, developing, and retaining staff (People)
   • Proven leadership skills with ability to create and maintain a positive employee experience and culture
   • Developing and retaining a team of Regional Directors (RDs) and School Leaders (SLs) that deliver high-quality, fiscally sound programs
   • Maintaining and driving school-level strategies to increase teacher satisfaction and retention
4. Ensuring the financial and operational health of the schools
   • Assisting in the development of all school-level budgets
   • Assisting in the development and refinement of Endeavor Schools' systems and SOPs
   • Assisting in the onboarding and integration of newly acquired and de novo schools
5. Drive satisfaction among key stakeholders
   • Actively building relationships with all key stakeholders and team members
   • Ensuring that schools are identifying and meeting the needs of families

Education, Experience, and Skills:

1. Bachelor's degree in Education, Business or related field or equivalent professional experience
2. Master's degree in Education, Business, or related field preferred
3. 10+ years' experience in education or comparable service industry with prior multi-site management or a similar role
4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
5. Excellent leadership skills
6. Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
7. Strong interpersonal, including staff and family relationships
