The Painter/Contractor is responsible for performing high-quality painting and contracting services primarily on residential projects. Working independently, this role involves all aspects of surface preparation, paint application, material management, and ensuring customer satisfaction while adhering to safety standards. The position requires local travel to job sites and a strong focus on detail and time management.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces including cleaning, sanding, and priming for paint application
• Apply paint using spray, brush, and roller techniques
• Handle and manage painting materials and equipment safely
• Match colors accurately to customer specifications
• Conduct quality inspections to ensure workmanship meets standards
• Comply with all safety regulations and practices
• Interact professionally with customers to understand and fulfill their needs
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the worksite

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in painting and general contracting
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license for local travel
• Proficiency in spray painting, brush, and roller application
• Strong knowledge of surface preparation techniques
• Thorough understanding of safety regulations
• Effective time management skills
• Attention to detail for quality workmanship
• Excellent customer service and problem-solving abilities
