Reimbursement Specialist II

Guardant Health seeks a Reimbursement Specialist II to manage complex insurance claims, appeals, and billing operations in a remote role. The position involves tracking outstanding claims, resolving denials, and coordinating with payers to optimize payment processing.
Responsibilities
- Track, report, and resolve complex outstanding claims and denials
- Troubleshoot EOBs, appeal non-covered and low-pay claims, and pursue external appeals
- Verify insurance eligibility and communicate billing responsibilities to patients
- Manage documentation and correspondence with payers for claim research
- Provide reimbursement assistance and customer service to patients and families
Requirements
- 3-5 years professional and facility coding, billing, and collections experience
- Demonstrated success filing formal appeals and negotiating with insurance carriers
- Experience with Medicare, Medicaid, and broad range of payers nationwide
- Ability to interpret EOBs and understand payment adjustments accurately
- Proficient in computer systems, data entry, MS Office, and Excel
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Laboratory billing, Xifin, EDI enrollment, and payer portal experience preferred
Compensation: $23-$31 hourly (primary location); $24-$33 in Colorado
