Sales Engineer

Binkelman is looking for a Sales Engineer to join our growing team. This is a relationship-based sales role that will require you to develop and create new opportunities within your customer base. As a consultative Sales Engineer, you will be working with plant managers, purchasing agents, engineers, maintenance and safety personnel on a regular basis and will be expected to add value and provide solutions at every level. Achieve sales and profit targets by developing new business as well as growing existing customers Develop strong relationships with customers Sales and service activities including sales calls, problem solving, product application analysis, new and existing product presentations Identify customer needs and provide product and application solutions Preparing sales reports, creating strategic plan to accomplish sales goals Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction throughout the entire sales process Develop quotes, follow-up quotes, maintain open orders, be flexible and adapt to customer’s needs Working Conditions Job may require some overtime, weekends, traveling, and after-hours service May encounter some hazardous industrial environments or applications Frequently exposed to noise and a regular flow of people around the office and at customer locations Frequently driven by changing priorities Required Skills/Qualifications Minimum 2 years Industrial outside sales experience with bearing, power transmission, conveyor belting and/or fluid power products Bachelor’s degree or Associate’s degree preferred however, prior equivalent experience and training will be considered in lieu of formal degree.
