First Class Pre-K Lead Teacher
KinderKids Learning Center | Daphne, AL
Full-time | 10-month schedule (August–May) | 187-day (180 instructional plus 7 professional development)  | Starting at $48,552

KinderKids Learning Center is hiring a Lead Teacher for an Alabama First Class Pre-K classroom. You'll work alongside an Auxiliary Teacher with a class of up to 18 four-year-olds. You'll plan play-based learning that follows the Alabama Standards for Early Learning and Development, and you'll get ongoing support from an FCPK coach. We're looking for someone who loves this age group and wants to grow in the work.

What you'll do

• Plan and teach weekly lessons using ASELD and TS GOLD®, with plenty of hands-on learning, read-alouds, small groups, and outdoor play
• Document children's progress daily in TS GOLD® and hold family conferences twice a year
• Build strong relationships with families through orientation, regular communication, and engagement activities
• Keep a safe, organized, child-centered classroom that meets ADECE and DHR standards
• Complete 30 hours of professional development each year, most of it provided through the program

What you need

• Be at least 21 years old
• Hold a bachelor's degree or higher in one of these: 
  • Early Childhood Education
  • Human Environmental Science with a concentration in Early Childhood or Child Development
  • Early Childhood Special Education or Elementary Education, with at least 18 credit hours in early childhood or child development
• Pass a background check, including CAN clearance and fingerprinting
• Your credentials must be approved by the ADECE Office of School Readiness before hire

Preferred: First Class Pre-K experience and TS GOLD® Interrater Reliability certification.

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7.5-hour workday.  Typically 7:00-2:30 or 7:30-3:00 Schedule closely aligns with BCBE school calendar, but does not follow exactly 

Salary is based on ALSDE Salary Schedule and based on verified years of service.
