Job Summary: This role supports patients, team members, and third-party payers by efficiently managing Patient Access and Revenue Cycle responsibilities. Key Responsibilities:

• Collect demographic and insurance details via phone communication.
• Accurately input collected data into computer systems.
• Handle all patient registrations without creating duplicate medical records or account numbers, including:
• Scanning insurance cards
• Verifying and entering demographic and insurance information
• Coordinating room assignments with nursing units or bed control
• Securing necessary signatures on required forms
• Guiding or transporting patients to the correct department or unit
• Managing special diagnosis cases, such as infectious patients
• Providing all patients with the informational brochure "Your Rights & Responsibilities as a Patient"
• Completing Medicare Secondary Payer Questionnaires
• Review and prepare registrations accurately before forwarding to billing.
• Process patient transfers and discharges.
• Follow up on outstanding signatures, Medicaid eligibility, and Medicare Secondary Payer Questionnaires.

Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required or in progress, with a focus on office skills. Vocational training or on-the-job experience in computer operations and switchboard use preferred. Familiarity with medical terminology and healthcare office procedures is beneficial. Work Schedule: Night shift (4th shift), 37.5 hours per week, within a regional healthcare setting in the Midwest.
