Youth Education Manager, Alpha - $200,000/year USD
$200kCrossover
On-site locations: Beverly Hills, CA; Piedmont, CA; Greenwich, CT; Boca Raton, FL; Miami, FL; Boston, MA; Raleigh, NC; New York City, NY; Seattle, WA (relocation assistance available) $200,000 annually, distributed weekly | Comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage from day one The highest form of support for a student who achieves 99% is refusing to label it 100%. Not from lack of care — but from conviction that they can reach it, and that lowering expectations is the true disservice. If this reasoning resonates, continue reading. If it feels overly strict, this position will likely not suit you. Students at Alpha don't passively absorb lectures. They advance through adaptive technology at double the speed of conventional classrooms while simultaneously developing practical life competencies. Your mission is to ensure three commitments are met for every child in your group: genuine enthusiasm for learning, accelerated academic progress at 2x the standard rate, and acquisition of capabilities that traditional curricula overlook. You will also mentor the Guides who uphold these same commitments throughout your campus. Data informs every choice, and every workday is conducted in person. You divide your efforts between directly managing your student group and coaching the Guides under your leadership — holding both to identical standards: quantifiable advancement, without compromise. When a Guide's session underperforms, you don't draft a memo; you observe live, conduct an immediate debrief, and course-correct that same afternoon. You will witness reserved children deliver presentations confidently to adults. You will see a learner who once "despised school" request extended time. And you will recognize that the expectation you maintained is precisely what enabled their growth, because upholding rigor is the clearest demonstration of belief in someone's potential. You may be establishing a new campus from the ground up, defining the foundational culture that will shape the institution. As the site evolves, your role transitions from hands‑on operator to coaching‑focused leader, cultivating the team that expands Alpha's methodology across your territory. What You Will Be Doing Facilitating one-hour interactive sessions on life skills and social‑emotional learning (SEL) with students in grades K-8, covering subjects such as public speaking and concentration, using Alpha's established framework Conducting daily motivational check‑ins designed to ensure 100% of students meet their weekly app‑based learning targets, utilizing age-suitable motivators including school currency systems and performance leaderboards Developing Guides through direct observation, specific feedback, and practical coaching to ensure they execute workshops with equivalent dynamism and accuracy Analyzing Coachbot data and individual student records to pinpoint learners requiring additional support, then delivering that intervention firsthand Directly mentoring your assigned student cohort, demonstrating the coaching and motivational techniques you require from all Guides What You Won’t Be Doing Creating lesson plans or developing original curriculum. Academic content is delivered via adaptive software; your responsibility is to maximize the effectiveness of the people surrounding students. Delivering traditional lectures at the front of a room. Your role is approximately 80% performance and engagement, 20% content expertise; if you prefer teaching from a whiteboard, this is not the right fit. Compromising standards due to external pressure from families or school leadership. When a student reaches 99%, the response remains "not yet" — and you will receive full institutional support to maintain that threshold. Managing administrative tasks from behind a desk. The majority of your time is spent in direct interaction with students and Guides. Delaying performance discussions for scheduled reviews. Outcomes are visible in real time through Coachbot, and adjustments are implemented immediately. Youth Education Manager Key Responsibilities Fulfill Alpha's 3 Promises for both your student cohort and the Guides under your supervision: every child develops a genuine love of learning, progresses academically at 2x the traditional pace, and acquires meaningful real‑world competencies.
