Senior Consultant

Our client is seeking a motivated, entrepreneurial professional who wants to play a direct role in shaping the future of architecture, engineering and construction firms. This is not a "wait your turn" environment. In this role, you will take on significant responsibility from day one, supporting and leading client engagements, strategy assignments and financial consulting initiatives. You will work directly with firm owners and executives in a client-facing advisory capacity. This role is designed for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment where no two projects are the same. It offers a unique vantage point into the transactions, growth strategies and transformations shaping industry-leading firms. The firm is open to hiring at the Consultant or Vice President level, depending on experience and qualifications. Candidates with approximately five to 12 years of relevant experience are encouraged to apply. Appropriate leveling will be discussed throughout the interview process. Location Chicago, IL and Denver, CO. Key Responsibilities As a Consultant or Vice President, you will combine strong analytical capabilities with exceptional project management skills to deliver meaningful client outcomes. Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, managing day-to-day communication, coordinating workstreams and ensuring successful project execution. Develop and deliver go-to-market strategies and M&A marketing materials, including teasers, confidential information memorandums (CIMs) and management presentations. Analyze and interpret complex financial data, translating findings into clear and actionable insights for firm owners, investors and industry stakeholders. Participate in business development activities, including meetings with prospective clients, outreach initiatives and proposal development. Prepare board- and executive-level presentations that support decision-making and align with client objectives. Mentor and develop junior team members by providing guidance, coaching and constructive feedback. Contribute to multiple client engagements simultaneously while maintaining a high standard of quality and responsiveness. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, accounting or a related field required. An MBA or other advanced degree is preferred. Approximately five to 12 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, financial advisory, corporate finance or a related field. Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with the ability to transform meeting discussions into concise, client-ready insights. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Power BI or similar analytics tools. Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple high-priority projects simultaneously. FINRA SIE, Series 63 and Series 79 licenses are preferred.
