Description Eye Care for Animals is looking for a full-time Ophthalmology Veterinary Technician to join our specialty team as part of the Thrive Pet Healthcare community in Annapolis, MD. Shift/Schedule: 8 am to 5:30 pm (may include after‑hours and/or on‑call responsibilities) About You You’ll play an important role in pets’ lives by providing end‑to‑end care for our precious patients. Your life‑changing work will range from the hands‑on care of facilitating outpatient treatments and performing laboratory tests, to support services including admitting and discharging patients. The success of your patients’ care matters to you, and your success matters to us. Your Experience & Skills Minimum 1‑2 years of clinical veterinary experience as a Veterinary Technician/Assistant (direct patient care) CVT/RVT/LVT (active and current) preferred Superior/advanced technical skills Proficiency in placing IV catheters and pulling blood Strong anesthesia skills: able to obtain blood pressure, ECG, SpO₂, and EtCO₂ and integrate clinical signs with disease processes to assist doctors in early and appropriate intervention of patient care Positive work attitude Self‑motivated Excellent communication and organization skills You’ll Grow With Us Here, you can grow your career as best fits you through access to comprehensive learning and skillset programs.
