As an Unarmed Security Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support patients, visitors, and staff with exceptional customer service and communication. You will conduct routine rounds, respond to security-related concerns, and contribute to a welcoming environment. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $19.84 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeTue07:00 AM - 03:30 PMSat07:00 AM - 03:30 PMSun07:00 AM - 03:30 PM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities within a healthcare setting. Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel. Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of hospital buildings, patient care areas, parking areas, entrances, and surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity. Monitor access points and assist with visitor screening, directions, escorts, and access-control procedures in accordance with site requirements. Document incidents, observations, and completed patrols accurately, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives. Minimum Requirements: Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience. Be at least 21 years of age. A state, county, or city-issued security license is preferred. Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
