Position Overview The Adjunct Instructor position at UNT Dallas involves teaching one or two courses per semester, depending on the institution's need based on student enrollment. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality instruction in undergraduate courses and or graduate courses. This role requires a commitment to fostering an engaging and learning environment that supports student success. Adjunct faculty members are expected to collaborate with colleagues to maintain academic standards and ensure the alignment of course objectives with program goals. Minimum Qualifications Doctorate degree with at least 18 graduate credit hours in Education, Curriculum and Instruction, or Teacher Education with at least 18 credit hours at the doctoral level in bilingual education. A minimum of three years teaching, in the public school systems in elementary education subjects Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Demonstrated effective written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish. Evidence of strong presentation skills. Preferred Qualifications Bilingual (Spanish) Availability to teach face-to-face, hybrid, or online for both day, evening, and/or weekend courses. Required License/Registration/Certifications Teacher education, state certification in subject matter Bilingual Certification Texas Teacher Certification EC-4 Bilingual Texas Teacher Certificate 4-8 English as a Second Language Work Schedule As required to meet the academic schedule.
