Position Overview This position requires an individual with technical and customer service experience in the construction industry, focusing on the installation and use of physical building materials. The role is not an IT, software, or systems support position. Review architectural blueprints, details, and specifications to advise on proper material selection. Draft specifications and details for architects, engineers, contractors, and distributors. Prepare technical documents and literature for architects, engineers, contractors, and distributors. Conduct seminars for architects, distributors, contractors, and other construction professionals. Investigate and settle customer service and product complaints diplomatically and professionally within authorized limits. Handle input/requests from sales/field personnel and update the job file system. Identify and forward leads to the sales department. Maintain professional conduct. Nonessential Job Functions Other duties as directed by Supervisor. Qualifications Minimum 3-5 years of experience in the construction industry. 2 years of technical support experience for a building material or product preferred. Fluency in a second language preferred. Physical strength to lift and carry a minimum of 50 pounds frequently. Knowledge of architecture and construction practices and materials. Knowledge of LATICRETE products and applications preferred. Knowledge of competitive materials preferred. Technical communication and presentation abilities. Computer skills: Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Outlook; intermediate knowledge and functional proficiency in ERP and CRM systems; Oracle EnterpriseOne and SalesForce1 CRM system preferred. Team cooperation: maintain a positive, cooperative attitude with all employees of LATICRETE and all customers. Minimum Educational Requirements High School Diploma; Degree preferred.
