All while understanding that together we are even better.Schedule: PRNShift: Day (United States of America)Address: 11801 SOUTH FWYCity: BURLESONState: TexasPostal Code: 76028Job Description: Variable shifts between 9:00am - 12:00pmShifts:9:00am - 9:00pm10:00am - 10:00pm11:00am - 11:00pm12:00pm - 12:00am(Requirement of 4 shifts per month with one shift being a weekend shift)Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments to evaluate patients' physical, mental, and emotional health.Develop and implement individualized care plans based on assessment findings and patient needs.Coordinate multidisciplinary care by facilitating collaboration among healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, social workers, and therapists.Monitor patient progress, regularly review, and adjust care plans based on patient responses and outcomes.Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team to ensure everyone is informed and involved in the care process.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Skills required to work in the emergency department as defined by unitMust be able to use a high level of abstract reasoning to assess patients, evaluate interventions, and revise the plan of care according to patient outcomesBasic computer skills – must be able to navigate Microsoft Windows-based programsDemonstrated proficiency in acute-care nursing, knowledge, and skillsAble to navigate and manage multiple prioritiesUses independent discretion/decision-makingAble to make decisions under pressureManages anger/fear/hostilityManages stress appropriatelyWorks alone effectivelyAble to work effectively in close proximity to others and/or in a distracting environmentWorks with others effectivelyFluent in the English language (spoken and written)Demonstrates commitment to purposeful hourly visits and other established consumer experience strategiesValid American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, and valid AHA Advanced life support certification (ACLS, PALS, NRP) per specialty/unit requirementsInternship and/or preceptorship dependent upon nursing experienceUnit-specific competencies met per orientation pathwayThe majority of employees will require a minimum of 12 months after orientation completed to achieve proficiencyEducation: Associate's of Nursing [Required]Bachelor's of Nursing [Preferred]Work Experience: 1+ 12 lead EKG experience [Required]1+ acute hospital experience [Preferred]Licenses and Certifications: Registered Nurse (RN) [Required]Advanced Cardiac Life Support Cert (ACLS) [Required]Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) [Required]Trauma Nurse Course Certified (TNCC) [Required]NIH Stroke Scall (NIHSS) [Required]Pay Range: $33.61 - $62.53This facility is an equal opportunity employer and complies with federal, state and local anti-discrimination laws, regulations and ordinances.
