Prairie Capital Advisors is looking for a Financial Analyst to join our Columbus team , where you'll develop financial models, conduct business valuation analyses, and help create reports that inform important financial and ownership decisions. What You'll Do

You'll work alongside experienced valuation professionals and contribute to projects from initial analysis through final client deliverables.

• Build financial models: Develop valuation models and financial analyses, including discounted cash flow models and public company comparisons.

• Turn analysis into insights: Prepare valuation reports, presentations, and other client deliverables that communicate findings clearly and accurately.

• Explore different businesses and industries: Analyze privately held and publicly traded companies, gaining insight into business performance, financial statements, and the factors that influence value.

• Learn directly from business leaders: Participate in interviews with business owners and CFOs to understand company operations, financial performance, and growth prospects.

• Collaborate with senior advisors: Work closely with Directors and Managing Directors throughout engagements, including due diligence, client discussions, and the presentation and support of valuation conclusions.

• Contribute to important financial decisions: Support projects involving purchase price allocations, investment portfolio and fund valuations, equity-based compensation, impairment testing, ESOPs, and corporate or shareholder fair market value assessments.

• Manage projects and deadlines: Take ownership of assigned analyses and deliverables while balancing multiple priorities in a team-oriented environment.

• Build your professional network: Develop relationships with colleagues, clients, and business partners while participating in professional conferences, firm webinars, and relevant industry organizations.

What We're Looking For

We're interested in analytical, motivated professionals who have a solid foundation in finance or accounting and are ready to take the next step in their careers.

Required qualifications and skills:

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field.

• One to two years of accounting or corporate finance experience preferred.

• Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving abilities.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

• Clear written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain financial analysis and findings.

• Strong organization and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.

• A dependable work ethic, personal integrity, and attention to detail.

• Interest in pursuing a professional designation such as the Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).

• Willingness to travel approximately 10% as needed.
