Commercial Roofing Account ExecutivePosition OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Commercial Roofing Account Executive to drive sales, manage client relationships, and oversee commercial roofing projects from estimation through closeout. The ideal candidate combines strong commercial roofing technical knowledge with proven sales and project management skills to develop new business, prepare accurate proposals and estimates, negotiate contracts, and ensure successful project delivery while maintaining safety and quality standards.Key ResponsibilitiesIdentify and develop new commercial roofing business opportunities through prospecting, networking, and targeted outreach to building owners, property managers, general contractors, and insurance adjusters.Prepare detailed roof system specifications, accurate estimates and competitive proposals using roofing takeoff software and aerial measurement tools (e.g., EagleView).Conduct roof inspections, moisture surveys, infrared roof scanning, and leak detection assessments to diagnose roofing conditions and recommend appropriate solutions.Manage the bid process and proposal writing, including job costing, bid management, and coordination of subcontractor pricing and scopes.Negotiate contracts and change orders, including AIA contract familiarity, and secure signed agreements while protecting company interests and margins.Develop and present value-based commercial sales presentations and proposals to stakeholders, clearly articulating system options (TPO, EPDM, PVC, Modified Bitumen, BUR, metal roofing) and warranty offerings.Oversee project transitions to operations and coordinate with project managers, field crews, and subcontractors to ensure scope, schedule, budget, and quality objectives are met.Administer insurance claims and restoration projects, working closely with adjusters and providers to document damages and recovery scopes.Implement and manage roof maintenance programs, warranties, and preventive maintenance plans to maximize asset life and minimize owner lifecycle costs.QualificationsMinimum 5+ years of commercial roofing sales, estimating, or construction experience, with a demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.Hands-on knowledge of commercial roof systems and materials including TPO, EPDM, PVC, Modified Bitumen, Built-Up Roofing (BUR), metal roofing and roof coatings.Proven experience with roof inspections, leak detection, infrared roof scanning, and moisture survey techniques.Proficiency with roofing takeoff software, aerial measurement tools (e.g., EagleView), bid management platforms, and CRM systems (Salesforce preferred).Strong estimating and proposal writing skills, including experience with job costing, construction estimating and preparing roof system specifications.Familiarity with insurance claims processes and restoration projects, and experience negotiating with insurers and adjusters.Working knowledge of AIA contracts, contract negotiation, and change order administration.
