Position: Inside Sales Representative (Internal Job Title: Customer Relations - Sales II)
Location: Cedar Rapids, IA (Onsite)
Duration: 12 Months Contract
Direct Client Need
Shift Schedule: M-F 8AM-5PM (flexible though)
Initial training (first 30-60 days) will be onsite in Cedar Rapids, IA Work will be hybrid - onsite 2-3 days/week
Position Summary:
- The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for providing world-class customer service to a global customer base.
- This role requires 12 years of professional experience focusing on exceptional responsiveness to customer inquiries, negotiating favorable terms, maintaining existing accounts, and actively developing new relationships to drive business growth.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Quote Management: Provide timely and accurate responses to customer requests for quotes (RFQs) received via email, phone, or inventory listing portals.
- Market Alignment: Liaise closely with peers and leadership to understand changing market pricing dynamics and strategically capture sales.
- Target Achievement: Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales volume and capture rate targets set by management.
- Order Validation: Review and validate customer purchase orders against standard and negotiated terms to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Relationship Building: Interact with customers both prior to and after a sale to cultivate, maintain, and strengthen positive, long-term partner relationships.
Qualifications
- Experience: 2 to 5 years of experience in sales, customer service in sales, or account management in sales.
- Autonomy: Ability to work independently with minimal instruction, demonstrating strong intrinsic motivation and a self-starter mindset.
- Customer Focus: Proven capability to provide highly responsive, empathetic, and exceptional customer support.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills for professional global correspondence.
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required; an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field is preferred.
