Materials ManagerThe Materials Manager is responsible for end-to-end supply chain leadership for the Valve Division, with full ownership of inventory performance, procurement execution, and material strategy. This role ensures inventory is right-sized, properly positioned, and system-driven while enforcing discipline across procurement, planning, and data integrity. The position is accountable for working capital performance, cost savings, and supplier performance across the division.Responsibilities:Supply Chain OwnershipOwn end-to-end supply chain performance for the Valve DivisionDrive alignment between planning, purchasing, and operationsEstablish standardized supply chain processes across all locationsInventory Strategy & OptimizationOwn total inventory value and working capital performanceLead initiatives to right-size inventoryEnsure Plan for Every Part (PFEP) discipline across all itemsDefine stocking locations, reorder points, and order quantitiesProcurement LeadershipOwn and enforce procurement processes across the divisionEnsure alignment between purchasing and demandStandardize purchasing practices across all regionsStrategic Sourcing & Cost ManagementLead supplier pricing negotiationsLead sourcing strategiesDeliver annual cost savings and cost mitigation targetsDevelop appropriate replenishment systems to reduce lead times / costsValidate, develop and manage new suppliersERP & Data IntegrityOwn item master and vendor master accuracyEnsure correct lead times, pricing, and inventory parameters (ROP, ROQ/EOQ, etc.)Drive accountability for system accuracyPlanning & Material FlowLead planning processes and activities across the divisionEnsure proper inventory positioning and replenishmentAlign supply chain with sales and production demandPerformance MetricsInventory turns / Days inventory on handInventory values vs targetsSupplier performanceCost savings, expedite rate? and system accuracyDirect labor utilizationDirect ReportsPlannersPurchasing SpecialistsStrategic Sourcing SpecialistQualifications & RequirementsBachelor's degree or equivalent experience7–10+ years in supply chain or materials managementExperience managing multi-site inventoryStrong ERP and sourcing experience.
