Position: Manufacturing Engineer 2 JOB TYPE: W2, Onsite, Full-time contract (12 months) Location: Pontiac, IL Schedule: 1st Shift | 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM Compensation: Up to $39-$42 Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated Manufacturing Engineer to support production operations and process improvement efforts within a leading global heavy equipment manufacturer. This role is highly hands‑on and will focus on manufacturing process optimization, troubleshooting, and validation in a fast‑paced industrial environment. You’ll work closely with production and quality teams to improve efficiency, validate processes, and support daily operations on the shop floor. Key Responsibilities Analyze and improve manufacturing processes to increase efficiency and productivity Conduct time studies and evaluate production methods, workflows, and cycle times Troubleshoot issues directly on the shop floor and support daily operations Interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and technical specifications Validate new processes, prototypes, and production changes (PCNs) Prepare reports, charts, and diagrams to communicate workflow and process improvements Monitor equipment usage and ensure operations meet quality standards Collaborate with production and quality teams to resolve issues and optimize performance Analyze production data and provide recommendations for improvement Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in engineering 5–7 years of relevant manufacturing experience Experience in manufacturing or machining environments Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings Experience with process improvement, validation, or production support Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills Experience with CAD or engineering‑related software Preferred Qualifications Experience in heavy manufacturing, automotive, or industrial environments Background in process optimization, time studies, or continuous improvement Experience working closely with shop‑floor operations Work Environment Onsite manufacturing facility (office + shop floor) 70% shop floor, 30% office work Hands‑on, fast‑paced production environment High collaboration with production and quality teams #J-18808-Ljbffr EPITEC
