I-BEST Case Manager/Advisor SALARY: $57,588.81 - $63,247.09 LOCATION: Lynnwood, WA The I-BEST Case Manager serves a growing population of primarily non‑native English speakers who are eligible for or enrolled in the I‑BEST and Basic Skills/College PREP programs and transitioning to a variety of college and career programs. This is an overtime‑eligible, exempt position in the School of Academic Foundations Division and reports to the Director of Basic Skills Student Services. The Case Manager, working in conjunction with the I‑BEST team, is responsible for recruiting, enrolling, and providing ongoing wrap‑around support for students enrolled in the I‑BEST (Integrated Basic Education and Skills Training) program. The role advises students in selecting coursework, creating educational and career plans, applying for financial assistance, and developing college success skills. Case Managers track and manage student progress from intake to completion, providing one‑on‑one support to reduce barriers to college access, retention, and completion, and fostering students’ academic success and well‑being. This work requires dedication, flexibility, teamwork, and a passion for serving immigrant, refugee, first‑generation, and English language learner students. Ideal candidates demonstrate a strong equity mindset, advocacy skills, networking ability, resourcefulness, and collaboration. They work effectively as part of a dynamic team of case managers, administrators, and instructors, serving students while creating a welcoming atmosphere of acceptance, respect, encouragement, and support.
