Line Server Attendant

$18/hr + Tips

Job Purpose

Warm friendly immediate greet to guests. Is also able to effectively process all transactions through the POS system quickly and accurately.

Line Serving  Key Responsibilities:

• Greet each guest at the serving line and guide them through the food-selection process in a friendly, efficient manner.
• Explain available menu items, ingredients, portion sizes, preparation methods, sides, toppings, and other options so guests can make informed selections.
• Ask appropriate questions to identify the guest’s preferences, listen carefully to each selection, and confirm the order before serving.
• Serve selected food items accurately and in the proper portions while maintaining presentation and minimizing delays and waste.
• Refer allergen, ingredient, or dietary questions and listen carefully from guest and follow all established food-safety procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked serving line while monitoring food quality, presentation, and proper serving temperatures.

·       Ability to communicate effectively with customers in order to provide the best customer service.

·       Ability to work as a team member.

·       Perform opening checklist duties.

·       Process guests’ transactions through POS system

·       Assist with unit housekeeping.

·       Always address guests in a positive manner

·       Interact with guests in and as they leave restaurant in a warm, caring manner.

·       Follow closing checklist and be checked out by manager before leaving.

Required Education

·       High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Required Skills and Abilities

·       Excellent communication skills.

·       Basic mathematical skills.

·       Basic reading and writing skills.

·       Basic computer skills.

·       Ability to use a point of sale system by ringing items in, taking payment and making change.

·       Organizational skills.

·       Multi-task oriented.

·       Knowledge of workplace safety procedures.

·       State food handler’s or alcohol compliance cards.

·       Must be able to work any shift (various hours-days off) and overtime as business dictates.

·       Must be able to work weekends, evenings, and holidays .

Other Skills and Physical Requirements:

·       Must be able to freely access all areas of the store, including selling floor, stock area and register area.

·       Must be able to lift, carry, push, pull and/or handle merchandise throughout the store weighing up to 35 lbs.

·       Must be able to remain stationary, walk and/or stand for entire shift.

·       Must be able to bend, kneel, climb, reach, and grasp.

·       Frequent washing of hands following Health Department Guidelines.

·       Must be able to operate and use all equipment necessary to safely perform all duties.
