The timing is the interesting part.They are launching a new product roadmap with several new products a year, and they go live on a new ERP — Infor CloudSuite Industrial — in January. You would lead the APQP work on those launches and build the routers and BOM structure in a fresh system, rather than inheriting someone else's.The shop is fully vertically integrated: CNC and manual machining, sheet metal fabrication, welding and hand assembly, all under one roof. When something goes wrong, you walk out to the floor and fix it. You are not filing a ticket with a supplier.What you would doDesign fixtures and production equipment in Autodesk Inventor — strong SolidWorks users are welcome to applyOwn production routers and BOM documents through the ERP transitionLead APQP on new product launchesAnalyze process data, production KPIs and manufacturing cost dataWrite production work instructions and test proceduresSubmit engineering change noticesProvide technical support and training to the shop floorWhat you need5+ years in a machine shop, sheet metal fabrication, welding or hand assembly environmentFixture design experience for machining and for manual assemblyProduction router and BOM experience in an ERP systemBachelor's degree in manufacturing engineering, or the experience to matchLean and Six Sigma — Green or Black Belt preferred; significant documented project work will be considered in its placeBilingual Spanish and Power BI are a plusDetails$100,000–$115,000 depending on experienceStandard hours are 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m., Monday–Friday, fully onsite in Northwest Chicago.
