Technical Management Scientist/Engineer

Job Details Job Family: Technical Project Management (TPR) | Travel Required: Up to 10% | Clearance Required: Ability to Obtain Secret. What You Will Do The Technical Management Scientist/Engineer will provide project management support to program managers at the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), overseeing the creation and execution of advanced government‑funded research and development programs. You’ll work with world‑class scientists and engineers to drive progress toward program goals and metrics that enable mission success. Responsibilities include managing current programs, maintaining program organization, and facilitating the transition of program technologies. The ideal candidate has experience in one or more technical areas and in managing the execution of technical projects and programs. Requirements Must be able to obtain and maintain a Federal or DoD "SECRET" security clearance; candidates must obtain approved adjudication prior to onboarding with Guidehouse. Candidates with an active "SECRET" or higher‑level clearance are preferred. Bachelor's degree and at least three (3) years of experience with program or project management in a professional environment. Experience working in and/or familiarity with STEM disciplines. Demonstrated experience coordinating and organizing multiple projects and teams in a dynamic environment. Ability to be part of a team with a national impact on science and technology development. Team‑oriented and can integrate easily into a diverse technical team. Self‑starter, able to take the lead, and provide support within a complex, fast‑paced, cross‑disciplinary work environment. Preferred Qualifications Active and maintained "TOP SECRET/SCI" (TS/SCI) Federal or DoD security clearance. Experience performing or supporting DoD or government‑sponsored research activities. Prior experience working with DARPA. Experience leveraging and integrating AI tools to improve processes and workflow efficiency. Experience with Microsoft Office. Flexible and readily adaptable to change. Excellent organization, multi‑tasking, and quick turn‑around response abilities. Ability to analyze, summarize, and communicate the intellectual content of scientific and technological information to both technical and lay audiences quickly and effectively. Outstanding attention to detail. Clear and succinct oral, visual, and written communication skills. PMP certification.
