Senior Implementation Manager

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide technical leadership and subject-matter expertise for mechanical enterprise risk projects, including refueling outage critical path activities.
• Review and challenge project execution strategies to improve schedule performance, quality, cost efficiency, and risk reduction.
• Perform detailed reviews of key project documentation, including schedules, implementation methods, risk registers, work orders, repair and replacement plans, budgets, and resource loading strategies.
• Validate the quality and readiness of Work Order Tasks (WOTs) prior to field execution; correct deficiencies, error traps, and unclear instructions.
• Review and improve testing, commissioning, and acceptance plans across all project phases (factory, shop, site, mock-ups, post-modification).
• Identify opportunities for mock-ups and provide guidance to ensure they are effective and value-added.
• Apply operating experience (internal and industry) to proactively identify risks and develop mitigation and response strategies.
• Serve as ASME Person in Charge (PIC) for Section XI Repair and Replacement activities when required.
• Provide governance and oversight by ensuring compliance with codes, standards, procedures, and best practices.
• Offer candid feedback to project, oversight, and department management on execution readiness and performance.
• Oversee shop and field activities as needed, including supervision of large crews and acting as shift lead in the Project Manager’s absence.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to remove execution roadblocks and support successful delivery.
• Participate in key project meetings such as design reviews, readiness reviews, risk management sessions, and integrated planning meetings.

Skills:

• Extensive mechanical experience in nuclear, steam-cycle, or regulated industrial environments.
• In-depth knowledge of commercial nuclear power plant operations and refueling outage execution.
• Strong understanding of ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code, Section XI repair and replacement requirements.
• Proficiency with enterprise asset and work management systems (e.g., Asset Suite, SAP).
• Advanced expertise in logic-driven scheduling using Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project.
• Knowledge of maintenance, engineering, and work management procedures and processes.
• Experience with error reduction tools, human performance improvement, and efficient work execution methodologies.

Education/Experience:

• High School.
