Duties

Help

• You will analyze financial management control procedures to implement process improvements for operational effectiveness.
• You will review data to verify the accuracy of operational and financial performance metrics.
• You will evaluate program plans and budget issues.
• You will provide advice on effective methods for use of funds to support organizational plans.
• You will review and evaluate budget requests, control and reporting of obligations and expenditures.

• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance while employed in the subject position. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
• This is a Financial Management Level II certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:

1) Serving as a financial analyst for Budget Execution, coordinating budget execution among Region Program Directors/managers/analysts and senior management; 2) Assisting upper management with preparation of budget exhibits and formulation, supports routine financial reporting and resolution of problems (e.g. unmatched transactions, reconciliations, problem payments); 3) Providing financial department findings/information on financial audit and program review; and 4) Planning work, setting priorities and scheduling work as necessary to assure effective and expeditious accomplishment of priority work without adverse effect on regular and recurring work; seeking to improve production and quality of work.
