Company Overview Mental Health Resource Center is a not‑for‑profit Florida corporation that provides a wide range of mental health and behavioral health care services to the community such as 24‑hour emergency services, inpatient psychiatric services for children, adolescents, and adults as well as outpatient services such as medication management, case management, and counseling. Job Summary Mental Health Resource Center, a comprehensive mental health center and Joint Commission accredited organization, is seeking an Assistant Team Leader to join the Adult Florida Community Treatment (FACT) Program. This role is ideal for an individual who enjoys working in a team atmosphere and is dedicated to providing both behavioral health care and social services to the individuals we serve in the community. The FACT Program is a multidisciplinary, clinical team that provides treatment, rehabilitation, and support services to adults with severe and persistent mental illness, promoting recovery, empowerment, self‑determination, and decision‑making for each participant. Most of a FACT team member’s day is spent in the community completing many of the above duties, with about 15% of time in the office. Company vehicles are available; members may also use personal vehicles and are eligible for mileage reimbursement. The team operates during and after normal business hours, rotates holiday and weekend responsibilities, and rotates an on‑call cell phone. For registered interns with the state of Florida, MHRC will provide assistance with the cost of clinical supervision needed for state licensing. Responsibilities Provides treatment, rehabilitation, and support services in accordance with the FACT model, based on the Program for Assertive Community Treatment (PACT) manual Assures the accuracy, completeness, and confidentiality of clinical records Conducts mental health status assessments Coordinates referrals to community providers and support services Provides assistance with activities of daily living, transportation, communication, social and interpersonal relationship skills Provides education related to symptoms, medications, and mental health issues Assists the FACT Team Leader in Monitoring and directing the services provided by the Florida Assertive Community Treatment (FACT) program Directing the day‑to‑day clinical operations of the FACT Team Scheduling staff work hours to ensure adequate coverage for the day, evening, weekend, and holiday shifts and on‑call hours Coordinating the daily organizational meetings to ensure completion of the work for the day and that identified needs are met Coordinating the admission process and the treatment, rehabilitation, and support services of the program Reviewing documentation to ensure timely and appropriate treatment to persons served, meeting State requirements and MHRC Medical Records Standards Providing training and orientation to new staff, and ensuring compliance with staff development plans Qualifications Master’s degree in Human Services or related field Previous experience working with adults with severe and persistent mental illness (e.g., schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder) required Experience with DBT therapy techniques preferred Must meet MHRC/RBHS vehicle driver requirements, including a valid Florida Driver’s License, automobile insurance coverage equaling $200,000, and no more than eight points on the license for any combination of violations Ability to interact with individuals who have serious and persistent mental illness in various settings, including home environments, closed offices, hospitals, nursing homes, and locked units Ability to make sound, independent decisions daily, including recognizing emergencies and life‑threatening situations and responding appropriately EEO Statement Renaissance Behavioral Health Systems and Mental Health Resource Center are Equal Opportunity Employers.
