Material Handler - 2nd Shift

Overhead Door/Wayne Dalton in Pensacola, Florida , is looking for full-time Material Handlers to join their team by providing just-in-time materials for various inputs and outputs of Small Roll Form manufacturing operations. The role represents the initial contact point for upstream material to transfer into the department, await processing and manufacturing, and transition to other production stages or finished goods for assembly or shipment to dealers, distributors, and customers.

Job Responsibilities:

• Review and interpret the production schedule and anticipate stocking levels of materials in advance for the next three (3) line items scheduled.
• Maintain and supply department with the required material and supplies to ensure seamless production flow
• Coordinate with other input and output departments regarding scheduling, timing, quality, and delivery of incoming materials and outgoing product
• Set-up on-coming shift with appropriate and required materials for a smooth production transition
• Demonstrate problem solving skills when faced with barriers or challenging scenarios
• Display a high degree of quality awareness to ensure processed and finished goods meet and exceed standard work requirements
• Flex between working independently and contributing to a team environment
• Model all safety behaviors and requirements including wearing of PPE, following job safety analysis, and surfacing safety concerns to lead and/or supervisor immediately
• Always wear a seat belt before operating a PIT
• Respect team members and foster work environment reflective to the values of Overhead Door Corporation
• Keep a clean and well-maintained workspace
• Perform other tasks or duties assigned by lead or supervisor
• Conduct pre-shift and post inspections of PIT
• Maintain PIT and communicate with Supervisor if generate work orders are required for maintenance.
• Load trucks, as needed, with product to ship out.
• Complying with all safety and health regulations.

Qualifications:

• Minimum one year experience
• Become certified to operate a Powered Industrial Truck within 2 weeks of starting role and maintain certification
• Ability to frequently lift and/or move 50 pounds and up to 75 pounds occasionally
• Employee will be subject to repetitive motion of arms, wrist, hands, and feet.
• Constant and routine ability to ascend and/or descend from forklift throughout shift
• Ability to sit for extended periods of time (up to 90 % of shift

Compensation & Benefits:

• For this position, you will be paid $17-19/hour
• Shifts available: Monday-Friday 4:30pm-1:00am
• Contract position
