Public Relations & Social Media Intern

We have an immediate opportunity for a paid three-month internship with our travel and lifestyle agency. Candidates must be available to work 40 hours a week, normal business hours (9 am - 5:30 pm). What we look for in our interns: ambition, willingness to learn, excitement for diving into a project, can-do attitude and an interest in blogs, magazines, and the entire social and editorial media worlds. Our internships are different from most in that there is an opportunity to play an integral role in daily tasks, big and small, such as agency brainstorms, new business proposals, writing projects, social media content creation and more. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious self-starter ready to get to know the PR and Social Media landscape. Eleven Six PR is a NYC-based travel, hospitality and lifestyle PR and Social Media agency. Clients include hotels, resorts, hospitality brands and destinations around the world as well as tour operators, and travel services.This is an excellent growth opportunity for an ambitious self-starter with a passion for PR, social media marketing, and the travel/lifestyle industry at large. The right candidate will be able to support the team in media relations activities on accounts including pitching the media, managing social media accounts, planning and attending client events, social media content shoots, and administrative tasks. Core Duties: Public Relations: pitching, media outreach, event management, partnerships, identify relevant writers, identify trends, field incoming media requests, etc. Social Media: drafting captions, influencer relations, gathering user generated content, content editing and creation, post scheduling and boosting, identifying trends, attending and supporting at content shoots, etc. Qualifications: BA or working towards a BA in Liberal Arts, Public Relations, English, Journalism, Marketing, or related degree Relevant internships with social media/PR experience, or relevant course work Strong understanding and interest in all aspects of Public Relations and Social Media management Familiarity with Meta platforms (Facebook and Instagram) and its latest features Social Media Content Editing Experience: photo presets, editing videos and Reels, PhotoShop or similar editing apps Experience with Canva or similar graphic design platforms Proficient in Microsoft and Google Office - Google Slides, Excel, Google Sheets, etc. Self-motived, team player Excellent writing skills Interest in the travel, lifestyle, food/drink industries Ability to work from our NYC office 2-3x per week #J-18808-Ljbffr Eleven Six PR
