Financial Analyst

LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Financial Analyst to provide on-site manufacturing finance support for the Union City diagnostics manufacturing facility. This role sits within the Diagnostics Platform Finance team and is responsible for financial reporting, month-end close activities, manufacturing variance analysis, and cost support for site operations. The successful candidate will work closely with site operations and finance teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and provide actionable cost insights that support manufacturing performance in a fast-paced production environment.

Location: 3240 Whipple Rd, Union City, CA 94587 - Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide manufacturing finance reporting support for the Union City site as a member of the Diagnostics Platform Finance team
• Perform month-end close activities, including Manufacturing variance analysis (MUV, PPV, Volume, and Spending) / Journal entries and accrual calculations / Account reconciliations / Preparation of site-level management reporting
• Work directly with on-site operations and finance teams to resolve reporting questions and cost discrepancies - Support the annual budget cycle, including generation of product costs
• Assist site operations leaders with product cost variance analysis during the budget process to identify key cost change drivers
• Calculate costs for new manufactured items and support cost updates as needed
• Generate SAP-based financial and cost reports for site leadership
• Perform ad hoc financial analysis and reporting to support site and platform needs
• Operate effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and adapt to changing business priorities

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related business discipline required
• 3–5 years of experience in a manufacturing finance or cost accounting environment
• Hands-on experience supporting product costing and manufacturing operations preferred

Skills & Knowledge

• Exposure to plant cost accounting / manufacturing accounting required
• SAP exposure required (1–2 years sufficient)
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
• Solid analytical skills with strong attention to detail
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to communicate clearly with operations, finance, and cross-functional site stakeholders
• High level of professional integrity
• Experience supporting audits and SOX compliance.
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

Pay Details: $38.00 to $40.00 per hour
