: Job Title: Health Occupations Office Associate PT Department: Health Occupations Reports To: Associate Dean of Health Occupations Job Classification: Non-Exempt Location: Marshalltown Community College, Marshalltown, IA Summary: The purpose of this position is to provide administrative support to ensure the efficient operation of the Health Occupation office. This position will require some evening hours. Job Responsibilities:

• Performs specialized office support work, which requires the exercise of independent judgment, the application of technical skills and a knowledge of detailed or specialized activities related to the area to which assigned.
• Enters, edits and retrieves data and prepares periodic or special reports, using computer systems and following established formats and menus.
• Provides customer service to internal and external customers in person, via electronic means or by phone. Will re-direct inquiries as needed. Provides switchboard coverage as scheduled.
• Perform clerical duties such as organizing files, processing mail, preparing purchase requisitions and participate in the purchase of office and classroom supplies, monetary transactions and deposits as needed. Arranges meeting and makes room reservations.
• Participates in Health Occupations events such as recruiting, orientation, pinning, career fairs, etc. Prepares and disseminates nursing class schedules. Records, transcribes, and maintains minutes from departmental meetings. Assists with reaccreditation tasks as assigned.
• Works and communicates professionally with others. Performs in a manner which benefits student learning. Supports the overall success of the District by performing other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience: Completion of HS or equivalent required. Associate's degree preferred. Previous office support experience preferred. Base Wage: $12-$17 per hour - actual salary will be based on experience and education.
