MRI Technologist

Overview Find your calling at Mercy! The MRI Staff Technologist works under the supervision of the Administrative Supervisor and/or Director and operates a magnetic resonance scanner to obtain images used by physicians in the diagnosis and treatments of pathologies. Selects appropriate imaging techniques and operates console and peripheral hardware; enters and monitors patient data, transfers images from disk to PACS. Position Details MRI Technologist – Mercy Hospital Perry, Perryville, MO Employment: PRN Responsibilities Operate a magnetic resonance scanner to obtain images used by physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of pathologies. Select imaging techniques and operate console and peripheral hardware; enter and monitor patient data; transfer images from disk to PACS. Qualifications Education: Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist Program or MRI Technologist Program and completed required clinical hours. Bachelor\'s degree preferred. License: Obtained ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT registry or Advanced registry eligible (Achieve advanced registry within 18 months of eligibility). Experience: Has acquired experience and possesses capability as determined to be adequate for the position. Certifications/Registrations: BLS Basic Life Support Other Skills & Knowledge: IV Insertion. Technical skill in medical scanning, understanding of cross sectional anatomy, and 3-D knowledge. Working Conditions, Mental and Physical Requirements: Manipulating equipment, lifting, moving, and transporting patients; continual standing or walking; adapt to stressful situations.
