Instructional Coordinator

The Accessibility Coordinator serves the College and Graduate School of Arts & Sciences at the University of Virginia as a hands-on resource for faculty, staff, and college units on digital accessibility and related matters. The role prioritizes digital accessibility implementation while developing to encompass accessible meeting guidance, event planning, and cultivating an access-driven work environment. This individual contributor position requires expertise in accessibility standards, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently supporting faculty and staff on complex accessibility questions. Key qualifications Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of relevant experience in accessibility support, disability services, higher education operations, instructional technology, or related field Strong working knowledge of digital accessibility standards and practices including WCAG, ADA, and Section 508 expectations Demonstrated ability to apply accessibility expertise to College documents, web content, platforms, and instructional materials Technology fluency with ability to evaluate and support workplace and instructional tools Clear communication skills for consultation, training, and explaining technical accessibility concepts Ability to work independently with limited supervision and manage multiple competing priorities #J-18808-Ljbffr
