Duties

Plans, Organizes, and Directs Operations

Helps plans, organizes, and directs the activities of Davis Monthan AFB Disbursing Operations, ensuring that disbursing and cash operations complies with legal and regulatory requirements and meets customer needs - agents and cashiers, including background checks prior to appointment.

Advises on Financial Services

Advises the Financial Services Officer and Wing Comptroller on matters relating to other agencies, such as the Treasury, Federal Reserve, General Accounting Office, and auditing directives.

Performs Reconciliations and Audits

Performs reconciliations, balancing, and auditing of receipts and disbursements in a large number of categories using the Automated Disbursing System (ADS).

Processes Payroll Authorization Documents

Receives and examines complex payroll authorization documents (e.g., leave authorization forms, allotments, employee organization deductions, etc.), makes computations and prepares proper forms for the pay of the full variety of civilian positions (e.g., doctors, nurses, firefighters, etc.)

Represents the 355th Comptroller Squadron

Represents 355th Comptroller Squadron with a variety of installation and functional area organizations.
