Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with NICU and pediatric experience for a night shift travel contract at an academic medical center.

Details

• Pediatric Respiratory Therapy unit within an academic medical center
• NICU and pediatric patient population
• Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend (EOW) required
• Floating to other units required
• Cerner charting system (preferred but not required)
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active RRT credential required
• MO state license or Compact licensure required at time of consideration — license required if applicable
• Minimum 2 years of overall RT experience, with at least 1 year in NICU/Pediatric Respiratory Therapy
• PALS and NRP required; candidates with one certification in hand and the other pending may be considered
• Cerner EMR experience preferred
• Must be able to ambulate, reach, and lift/move objects weighing 20 lbs or more
• 2 professional references required for consideration
• Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible for this position; candidates within 75 miles may be considered at a local rate

Additional Information

• Provide respiratory therapy services to pediatric and neonatal patients
• Must be available to work at least 50% of holidays occurring during the contract
• Position operates in a 24/7 healthcare environment; rotating shifts and availability during inclement weather are expected
• Any requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed upfront
• Role involves regular exposure to patients with contagious illnesses
